Changing your MySQL password

If MySQL is available to you, you can change your MySQL password at any time. We suggest you change your password after the first time you log on the MySQL interface.

Your Site Administrator user name is your default MySQL user name and also your default password; however your service provider may assign you a different MySQL user name. If this is the case, then your assigned MySQL user name is also your MySQL user password. If you are unsure of your MySQL user name, check your Site Summary page. Your MySQL (Database) user name is listed there.

To change your MySQL password:

  1. Open the MySQL Database Server Manager.

  2. From the MySQL Database Server Manager menu, click Change MySQL Password.

The Change MySQL Password form opens.

  1. In the New Password field, enter the new password.

  2. In the Retype New Password field, type the password again to confirm it.

  3. Click Save.
