Diversify the menu.
You don’t have to limit yourself to just the usual fish and chicken all of the time. As a bride, you have every freedom and opportunity to diversify the menu that you have for the wedding in every way that you see fit so far. You just need to make sure that you discuss it accordingly with your partner. You will never really know if perhaps he fancies some dishes in particular. You need to know for sure that it isn’t just all about you but about him as well so keep that in mind when you are getting the menu planned out so far.
Fake the cake.
It sounds silly and really superficial but it actually makes sense to have a smaller but pretty looking cake for photo purposes and to have a basic sheet cake in the back of the kitchen sliced up and served out to the guests so far. Most of them wouldn’t even care and for as long as the cake tastes good so far, you will probably hear next to zero complaints about it so far. Just remember that sometimes, it is all in the appearances. You can still have your expensive looking cake without the financial burdens of a full one. It doesn’t matter if you are shooting for a themed Indian wedding photography coverage or anything like that. Just make sure that the cake is in line with the theme and you should be good to go.
Limit the bar options.
You don’t need a free for all bar in order for you to impress your guests. A decent selection of a couple of beers and a couple of wines will do. Anything more than that and you are already technically bragging. Plus, if your guests require something so much more than what you are offering so far, they can either get one from you or you can get them to pay for their own. Give your wedding vendors a little bit of booze as well. Your professional in the Indian wedding photography industry might be a little more daring and creative if you enable him or her with a little bit of liquid courage.
Invest more on the venue than the décor.
Investing on the itty bitty little details is fine and all that but if the venue doesn’t really have much to offer out to you in the first place, then there is a pretty god chance that you won’t have that much of an impact on what you are trying to do when it all comes down to it. If your wedding venue is already picturesque enough though, it would require too much from you on the décor side of things which technically means that you will be able to save up on a little bit of money on the side. You will end up with less worth for it as well so try to keep that in mind or get that checked out as much as you possibly can.
